Meet Our Team | Advice & Insight from Agent Andrea Hollander

Tell us your favorite things about being a real estate broker.

My favorite thing about being a Real Estate Broker is that it marries my love of Real Estate and Business with the occasion to meet people from all over the country and sometimes abroad. It is truly rewarding to get to know my clients and their families and play an integral role in what can be one of the most exciting, challenging, and stressful times in their lives.

Do you have specific areas of focus?

My main area of focus is the South Charlotte/Matthews area. I work from Eastover –South Charlotte- Matthews. However, with so many people relocating to the Charlotte area daily, I sometimes wind up working in other areas in the Charlotte Metropolitan market including Lake Norman and South Carolina.

Do you have a favorite story or memory of working in real estate?

I don’t have one specific story that stands out; what I have is a compilation of many stories. My business is very focused on building relationships and I love the fact that I help many people with what can be a very joyous and stressful time in their lives. What stands out to me as someone who is
focused on building relationships is not only the referrals that I receive from past clients but on how many of my clients have become close friends.

Selling your home or buying a new one can be stressful, what advice do you have for people in this position?

Buying or selling a home can be extremely stressful. There are many factors that contribute to having a successful Real Estate experience. Choosing a Broker who you feel is a good fit is paramount. Your agent should not only have a keen understanding of the local Real Estate market, and great negotiation skills, but they should also be able to work well with your personality, understand your personal challenges, keep you informed, updated, and communicate with you regularly. This will definitely lessen your stress and anxiety throughout the process.

How are you involved with your community, do you volunteer or work with any charities?

There are many causes I feel passionately about. I donate regularly to the Autism Society, Epilepsy Foundation, and Pancreatic Cancer, Throat Cancer and other Cancers. My family and I have been impacted by all of these. I am also the Co-Chair of the Social Action Committee at Temple Israel. I was an active committee member last year. I have also been involved in various ways with the Jewish Federation, Jewish Family Services, Christian Ministries, Birthday Blessings as well as devote much time and energy to volunteering at Providence High School and their Marching Band and other
schools in the community.
