Star Running Back Christian McCaffrey Seeks Record Price for Charlotte Penthouse
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 17, 2023) – Over five and a half NFL seasons, Christian McCaffrey set at least 20 team and league records as the star running back for the Carolina Panthers. Now the former Panther, who was traded to the San Francisco 49ers midway through the 2022 season, hopes to set another record with the sale of his Charlotte penthouse.
McCaffrey recently listed the home with an asking price of $3.75 million. If it sells for close to that amount, it will be the most expensive condo ever sold in Charlotte on a per-square-foot basis, according to his real estate agent, Victoria Speer of Ivester Jackson Christie’s International Real Estate.
Located in Uptown Charlotte’s premier Skye Condominiums high-rise building, the 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath, two-story penthouse has 3,813 square-feet of indoor living area plus a large terrace with a 200-square-foot patio and similarly sized green space. In another interesting twist, the buyer pool for McCaffrey’s penthouse may have just gotten a boost after the Panthers recently acquired the #1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft from the Chicago Bears. The team’s next star player could very well be the next owner of this residence.
